Chris Loizou

Associate

Chris Loizou is an Associate at Brandon Haw Architecture. Since joining in 2022, he has worked on projects of varying scales, typologies, and geographic contexts across all design phases. Notable works include a 34-story commercial tower in Midtown West, Manhattan, where he played a key role in the façade and lobby cladding design, from concept to construction documentation. Chris co-led the façade packages for Faena District Tulum, spanning residences, amenities, and hotel components. He has also contributed to other high-profile projects, including Casa Cipriani and multi-site competitions in Florida and the Middle East. He currently leads the design and coordination of a mid-rise residential and commercial building in Miami Beach.

Chris earned his Master of Architecture from Columbia University’s GSAPP, receiving the Paul Nicholas Scholarship. He also holds a professional diploma in Architecture from the University of Patras in Greece, graduating valedictorian. His academic honors include distinctions from the A.G. Leventis Foundation, CCF, Limmat Stiftung, the Greek State Scholarship Foundation, and the Technical Chamber of Greece. Before joining BHA, Chris was involved in the design of residential, hospitality, commercial, and institutional projects, and oversaw construction phases on select projects —both independently and at locally renowned, European award-winning firms in Greece and Cyprus, where he holds architectural licensure. His international experience informs a design approach focused on materiality, detailing, and the cohesive integration of design elements across varying scales, creating a holistic and unified experience.
