Located in the heart of Bogota’s Chapinero district, this eight-story luxury residential development stands adjacent to three landmarked historic buildings. Designed to accommodate the essence of Bogota’s lifestyle, the project is refined in detail and responsive in its design.
The development is situated upon a steep incline and as a result, was developed to respect the contours of the site and the limitations on height set by local zoning requirements. Three buildings (two of which are linked) share a light filled core and are organized around a secure central courtyard that forms the heart of the residential complex.
The building’s architecture and structure is expressed in its concrete seismic shear walls that are “bound” together at each floor level by elegant bronze-finished metal spandrels that encircle the building. Post-tensioned concrete slabs minimize the number of structural columns resulting in optimal apartment layouts.
Sliding screens that provide shade from the sun and privacy modulate the terraced balconies which are oriented towards expansive views of the surrounding mountains and the cityscape below.
