Maria Volkova is the CFO of Brandon Haw Architecture. With 15+ years of experience in financial management, business development and project management, she directs the financial accounting and provides leadership for the firm’s budgetary performance and risk management.
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Maria holds MA in Russian Literature from the Herzen University of St. Petersburg and MBA from Moscow State University of International Relationships & Commerce (MGIMO). She has also completed Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University with a focus on corporate finance and investment banking.
Prior to joining Brandon Haw Architecture, Maria was Executive Director of Initiative 2045, an international nonprofit that is researching the impact of robotics and artificial intelligence on biological systems. She also produced large-scale events and conferences for Singularity University, a benefit corporation that explores how technology can help solve social issues including health, the environment, and education. Prior to that, Maria was CFO at Frank Williams & Partners Architects where she was responsible for financial reporting and monitoring of all domestic and international projects.
